This handmade whipped body butter is made in-house and is a Tappermade formulation. Shea butter, almond oil, and cocoa butter form the main base. Blended with other ingredients to nourish and moisturize hands and body.

Why make this?

As an eczema sufferer, I appreciate how important skin health is. Moisturising is an important part of caring for your skin and so many products on the market moisturise for a short while but do not last for a particularly long time. This is because they contain ingredients that act as fillers bulking out products but not doing anything useful. This baffled me. So I made a product with only useful ingredients. It soaks into the skin leaving it feeling smooth and supple for ages. There is a range of 3 scents and an unscented option for anyone with a sensitivity to essential oils.

Key ingredients & why are they in there?

Each one of these ingredients have been considered carefully for what they can provide. Together they combine to make a fantastic moisturizing body butter. I do not wish to make ANY claims that this body butter will cure skin ailments (nutrition should be your first consideration). So, without further fuss, here is what’s in the body butter.

Almond Oil – Moisturising, gentle, and it’s quickly absorbed by the skin. Non-comedogenic, meaning that it won’t clog your pores. Naturally rich in vitamin E

Shea Butter – Moisturising of course. Studies show it may help heal inflammatory skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis as well as help soften scar tissue due to the fatty acids present.

Cocoa Butter – Cocoa butter is rich in polyphenols and other bioactive compounds that make it a prized ingredient in skin care. Its richness may increase Kapha-promoting qualities like hydration, smoothness, and retexturizing of skin.

Kaolin Clay – This helps to keep the oiliness on the surface of the skin minimal after application.

Parfum – Contrary to this misleading name the purpose of this ingredient is not to impart a scent. This ingredient is a natural preservative. Preservatives are needed in a product like this by law, I have chosen to use a natural one.

Essential Oil Blends:
Ocean – Teal – Geranium, juniper, and lemongrass for a luxurious and calming scent. The same scent as the conditioner.
Garden – Blue – English yarrow, Lemon, and Geranium for a herbaceous, fresh scent.
Earth – Pink – Patchouli and Lemongrass for a grounding scent that lingers on your skin.
Unscented – White, may smell very slightly of almonds due to the natural oils and preservative in the product.
