Roll-on Deodorant
Natural roll-on deodorant that effectively keeps you smelling fresh without any harmful ingredients. Bicarb-free formula. Colloidal silver and potassium alum crystal are the active ingredients that prevent bacterial growth (which is what makes the B.O. smell). There is no scent to this deodorant. I have made it for people who prefer no scent or are sensitive to the linalool and limonene that are in essential oils.
Why make this?
I couldn’t find a natural deodorant that was easy to use and effective for me and my family. I have sensitive skin and using a bicarb (or magnesium hydroxide) deodorant left me with sores and eczema flare-ups. My husband needs something deodorising enough for his active job and my children are FAST approaching puberty. I need decent deodorant in my house so I decided to make it.
What is in this product and why?
Aqua – That’s water, a solvent for dissolving the active ingredients.
Isopropyl Myristate – This improves product texture and is an emollient (helps soften and smooth skin).
Clay – Helps the ball roll and improves the product’s texture.
Colloidal Silver – Halts microbial growth, which causes body odour. Safe (non-nano) and will not be absorbed into the skin pores.
Potassium Alum – Naturally occurring mineral that also halts microbial growth. This does not block pores, and extensive research has shown that this is a safe and effective deodorising ingredient.
Glycerin – a humectant (hydrates skin).
Xanthan gum and carrageenan – Gelling agents for perfect consistency.
Decyl Glucoside – Very gentle surfactant and emulsifier.

I LOVE this deodorant – I am a complete convert! Have now bought the refill, and will keep using. It’s a great product and the refill option is excellent. I’ve been a Dove roll-on user for decades, as I know it doesn’t irritate my very sensitive skin. No more Dove for me!
