Swimmer’s Balm with Seaweed

A nourishing and beautifully aromatic balm with seaweed-infused oils that gently glides over your face and body to lock in moisture softly and easily. Great for your morning or evening, or when you get out of the water.

50 g of balm in an aluminium tin that can be reused, recycled or returned to Tappermade for re-use.

Why did I make this?

Swimmer’s balm has been created to lock in moisture and protect your skin by using fine oils and butters that are similar to the natural sebum of your skin. The seaweed-infused oils have been formulated to capture the beneficial properties of seaweed that are great for your skin. For more information about the properties of seaweed, check out the Blog.

What are the ingredients & why are they in there?

Each one of these ingredients has been considered carefully for what it can provide. Together, they combine to make a fantastic moisturizing balm. I do not wish to make ANY claims that Swimmers Balm will cure skin ailments (nutrition should be your first consideration). So, without further fuss, here is what’s in the Swimmer’s Balm.

Almond Oil – moisturizing, gentle and it’s quickly absorbed by the skin. Non-comedogenic, meaning that it won’t clog your pores. Naturally rich in vitamin E

Seaweed Bladderwrack – vitamin-rich and promotes collagen production and repair, soothing the skin and smoothing fine lines.

Tallow – Similar to our skin lipids and rich in vitamins A, D, and K.

Beeswax – Beeswax forms a natural barrier on the skin’s surface, protecting the skin from environmental irritants and harsh weather.

Shea Butter – A plant lipid rich in fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamins. Shea butter also contains five essential fatty acids (a major amount coming from stearic and oleic acids), phytosterols, vitamins E and D, and allantoin (good for healing skin irritations).

Coconut Oil – A tiny amount for its excellent moisturizing triglycerides (fatty acids).

Sea Buckthorn Oil – promotes skin hydration, elasticity, and cell regeneration, and even helps treat and prevent acne.

Hemp Oil – Contains a wide array of phytochemicals beneficial for skin health.

Essential Oil Blend – Frankincense, Bergamot, Cypress, and Carrot Seed – For a luxurious and calming scent.
